Our Story

Built for the attorney who's also the paralegal.

DocketBuddy started with a simple observation: the hardest legal situations people face: bankruptcy, divorce, immigration proceedings, disability claims, probate, estate planning, workplace injuries, and accident cases, are exactly the situations where most solo attorneys are buried in admin work instead of practicing law.

Solo practitioners handling these cases were using software built for large firms, or spreadsheets, or nothing at all. The tools didn't exist for this market.

The gap was obvious. DocketBuddy was built to close it.

Today DocketBuddy builds workflow software for solo and small firm attorneys across consumer-law practices: bankruptcy, immigration, family law, social security disability, probate, estate planning, workers' comp, and personal injury.

Every feature exists because a solo attorney needed it. Every workflow was designed around the reality of a one-person practice: no paralegal, no enterprise budget, no time to waste.

For Attorneys

Simple, affordable workflow software for routine consumer-law matters. Built for the solo practitioner, not the large firm.

Founding Attorney Advisory

We're building a bench of practitioners, not a hiring funnel.

The product only works if it reflects how the work actually gets done. We're bringing on a small group of Founding Attorneys across bankruptcy, immigration, family law, social security disability, probate, estate planning, workers' comp, and personal injury, practitioners who've felt where existing software fails solos and want outsized influence over what gets built next.

Part-time, remote, a few hours a month, designed to sit alongside your active practice. Founding members receive a meaningful equity stake and an hourly rate for involved review work.

  • Translate real solo and small-firm workflows into product requirements.
  • Review attorney-facing drafts and rule logic in your practice area.
  • Flag the ethical, procedural, and risk considerations engineers won't see.
  • Define what “send-ready” actually means in your hands.
